The mission of America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend is to collect and distribute food to 501(c)(3) nonprofit member organizations in the Big Bend area of Florida that provide food to people in need and to educate and inform the public about the problem of, as well as the solutions to, hunger.

THE MISSION OF AMERICA'S SECOND HARVEST OF THE BIG BEND, INC IS TO (1) FEED THE HUNGRY BY SOLICTING AND DISTRIBUTING MARKETABLE, SURPLUS FOOD TO A LOCAL NETWORK OF PARTNER AGENCIES, (2) SERVE AS A LIAISON BETWEEN PARTNER AGENCIES AND DONORS AND (3)EDUCATED THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE NATURE AND SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS OF HUNGER
