Mission Statement

The purpose of PAL is to prevent juvenile crime and drug use, to provide positive role models for our youth, to develop discipline, self-esteem and positive moral values through wholesome competition and activities and to create better relations through communications between law enforcement officers and the youth of our community. PAL programs are funded through public and private contributions. MISSION STATEMENT To foster and encourage in the youth of the community a spirit of loyalty and faith in American traditions and institutions. To participate actively in constructive movements and endeavors for the promotion and safeguarding of the interest and general welfare of the youth of the community. To promote the spirit of benevolence, friendship, socialibility, goodwill and tolerance among the youth of the community.. To instill in the youth of the community good health habits, good sportsmanship and high moral and civic standards. To perform any and all other things incident and kindred to the above purposes and not inconsistent with the law as will further and promote youth programs in the City of Jacksonville.

Description

Various organized athletic activities for the youth of Jacksonville, Florida to promote better relations between police and youth, and to provide an alternative to drugs. Donated services from the Jacksonville Office of the Sheriff totaled $1,309,105.
