Description

Established in 1997, Young Alumni of the Bay Area, or YABA, is an informal association of educated young professionals from various universities and colleges across the country. Through working with local alumni clubs and other partner organizations YABA is able to offer young professionals a diverse selection of networking events and the opportunity meet, socialize, and network with numerous people from a wide range of career fields. By providing a friendly sociable environment, members are able to develop meaningful personal connections and improve their communication skills. Over time participants develop strong bonds with trusted colleagues with whom they can share knowledge, experience, and on occasion provide reliable contacts or potential job leads. Volunteer executive roles also provide a great opportunity to demonstrate and develop leadership skills, increase business understanding, and contribute to society through associated community service events.
