Mission Statement

The goals of the City Mission are: 1. To provide temporary lodging and food for people in need of emergency help. 2. To give counsel, guidance, comfort, and a Christian witness to those with spiritual needs. 3. To cooperate with city and state agencies along with other religious and charitable organizations in helping the poor and needy.

Description

During calendar year 2010 the City Mission provided 9,301 nights of housing to Residents and 33,393 meals were served to ""Walk-In"" guests not staying at the Mission. Case Managers are assigned to Residents to develop a program and set goals designed to make a successful transition back into the community. Of the 108 women and children Residents during 2010, 54 transitioned successfully. Of the 108 men staying at the Mission 96 made a successful transition through working and saving their earnings while residing atthe Mission.
