Mission Statement

Lourdes Health Foundation supports and sustains Health System's delivery of quality medical care and holistic approaches to healing. The Foundation is a community of persons committed to providing resourceful medical programs and services that create healthy communities throughout the southern New Jersey region. The Foundation was established in 1981 to provide financial support for the growth of Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. In December 1998, Lourdes Health System acquired Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in Willingboro, New Jersey. The Foundation's fundraising efforts now involve Rancocas and its surrounding communities.

Description

The Foundation's task is to raise, manage, and disperse charitable gifts to Lourdes Health System consisting of Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center and Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County and their local communities. These gifts enable our healthcare facilities to expand programs, purchase much needed equipment, and support community outreach programs. The gifts allow the foundation to fund projects in four areas: 1. Facilities: renovation, expansion and new construction. 2. Education: continuing nurse education, community health and patient education programs. 3. Technology: medical equipment used for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. 4. Special Projects: funding for specific projects or programs in response to community health needs.
