Our most significant accomplishment in 2012 was to provide Christmas gifts and food to 1,762 needy families in the Chesterfield and Colonial Heights communities. That equates to 5,661 individuals that received assistance from this organization during the 2012 Christmas season. We also helped 81 Elderly persons celebrate the holidays. Individuals and groups sponsored 571 families through our program, providing all the gifts, toys, clothes and food for the recipients. $458,974.10 was the total of Direct Aid and In-Kind benefit that was received by our clients. This amount represents more than 100% of the donations received during 2012 which went directly to our clients. Reserves from previous years were used for overhead and to buy some of the gifts.
