Description

The Southwest Suburban Immigrant Project (SSIP) is a new non-profit community organization focused specifically on improving quality of life for immigrants in Chicago's Southwest Suburbs. With the help of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, SSIP will educate, empower, and connect immigrants residing in the Southwest Suburbs through work focused in the following three areas: Identifying and addressing existing obstacles faced by immigrant families and individuals in the southwest suburbs, offering the training and education necessary to empower local immigrants and immigrant rights advocates to participate in our local and national political systems, connecting immigrant families and individuals in the southwest suburbs to existing organizations that provide services and resources that benefit the immigrant community.
