Mission Statement

The mission of the Economic Council Helping Others (ECHO) Inc. is to provided financial, educational and technical aid to individuals and families to assist them in achieving self-reliance. The goal of the ECHO, Inc. Food Bank is to collect, warehouse and distribute nutrient dense perishable and non-perishable food items, reducing hunger and malnutrition and restoring health in vulnerable New Mexicans.

Description

ECHO, Inc. incorporated as a 501-c-3 non-profit community action agency in January 1967 for the purpose of providing a diverse array of social and human service programs throughout the northern half of New Mexico and administering a variety of programs to lift individiuals and families out of poverty into good health and eanbling them to contribute in a positive way back to the community, currently operating a pre-school/day care center; a regional full service food bank; emergency financial assistance; homebuyer education and financial literacy classes and homebuyer application support for income qualified families.
