Portland Rescue Mission exists to demonstrate the compassion of Christ.
Description
Portland Rescue Mission started in 1949 as a soup kitchen by the Burnside Bridge in Portland, Oregon. Over 70 years later, we're still known for compassionate care to homeless men, women and children.
MEALS:
Up to 500 meals per day (breakfast and dinner daily).
SHELTER:
Up to 170 shelter beds for men.
PERSONAL SERVICES:
-24/7 safe, secure restrooms for both men and women
-Showers
-Clothing and Laundry
-Supportive Relationship
-Chapel
-Mail services
-Referral Services
-Short-term shelter programs
NEW LIFE MINISTRY:
5 week and 12 month programs for up to 35 men and 38 women (plus 25 children) focusing on spiritual formation, addictions recovery and life skills training.
