Mission Statement

EcoVivarium seeks to Inspire, Empower, and Educate visitors of all ages and abilities. We are committed to providing unique hands-on educational programs for all students, regardless of socioeconomic status, culture, race, or ability, to be inspired to learn beyond the textbook and classroom. To understand the value, complexity, and fragility of the natural world and to combine an understanding of nature with a passion for learning for the betterment of the individual, the environment and the community as a whole.

Description

EcoVivarium is a one-of-a-kind Living Museum featuring reptiles, amphibians, and arthropods. We provide hands-on opportunities for museum visitors, and education programs for schools, scouts, and other organizations. All of our outreach programs feature our Animal Ambassadors. The animals serve as the conduit from the animal itself to educational goals Our reptiles are 98% rescues and 2% donated. We rehabilitate and then train the reptiles to be Ambassadors for the museum and our outreach programs.

EcoVivarium provides outstanding eductional programs that are fun for participants! As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to meet some unique Animal Ambassadors, to help with their care, to learn great skills and also to have a good time.
