Mission Statement

The Metro DC Alliance to Combat Trafficking and Slavery is a partnership between Boat People SOS and Ayuda, Inc. established through a grant from the Department of Justice, Office for Vicitms of Crime, in 2003. We work to bring the Metropolitan Washington DC community together to combat human trafficking.

Description

Our goals are to increase the identification of victims and provide comprehensive services to them once found. To accomplish these goals, we: EDUCATE AND RAISE AWARENESS by offering workshops and conferences for law enforcement, service providers, faith and community-based organizations, and the community at large. PROVIDE LEGAL AND CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES, helping survivors obtain food, housing, clothing, medical care, counseling, employment training and legal immigration assistance. CREATE A NETWORK OF SERVICE PROVIDERS to support and build the region's capacity to service trafficking survivors.
