Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
The Art of Self-Esteem, Inc mission is to enhance the emotional, cultural, economic, medical, educational, and professional well-being and growth of children, teens and young adults.
The Art of Self-Esteem, Inc. uses writing, photography, film making, dance, theater and other multidisciplinary arts to advocate, educate, empower and support children and young adults as they transition through the stages of development and tackle the struggles of everyday life. A strong artistic background has been shown to improve areas of learning and academics, and it is a source of empowerment and self-expression. While the cornerstone of the organization is to help children and young adults develop healthy lifestyles, we also strive to foster leadership, self-expression and a working relationship between children, young adults and adults within the community and provide children and young adults with a vehicle of inclusion into the arts, community service, and government arenas.
