Habitat for Horses

I have been a volunteer at HFH for nearly four years and it is the most gratifying thing I have ever done-much cheaper than shopping or psychotherapy too.I have never gotten so muddy sweaty and exhausted and loved it! I fill water barrels, round up to feed, groom, give showers but mostly give out treats , hugs and love.It'a also a great way to get fresh air, vitamin D and exercise at no cost! I have seen horses so weak and malnourished they couldn't stand grow into beautiful proud beings and many go to forever homes. A few we lose but almos all grow into healthy happy noble creatures that love affection and attention-apples can't hurt either. I urge you to check us out you won't regret it especially if you admire horses or have ever ridden or if you think you might like being around them. We have every kind-from 2200 lb. Millie to pony Keegan, paints, palominos, quarterhorses, all colors and sizes. We even have adorable donkeys and Pete who gives kisses for treats. C-ya soon I hope!
