The mission of the Hispanic Counseling Center is to enhance the strengths of Long Islandâ s Hispanic families and children through bilingual, bicultural counseling, prevention, vocational, and educational services to enrich their lives, foster economic independence, and nurture dreams for the generations to come.

Description

The Hispanic Counseling Center (HCC) is a fully bilingual, bicultural not-for-profit social services agency serving Long Island for over 27 years. It is the only multi-cultural agency in Nassau County licensed by the State of New York to provide treatment services in the areas of mental health, substance abuse, alcoholism, and youth and family services. HCC serves more than 1,000 clients and their families each month through 12 programs including: Chemical Dependency Program; Mental Health Outpatient Clinic; Mental Health Services for HIV/AIDS Population; Youth and Family Programs; Summer Programs for Children; After School Programs; Children and Family Support Services Program; Supported Housing Program; Domestic Violence Education and Prevention Program; SAFE Program (supervised visitation); Medicaid and Non-Medicaid Service Coordination; ESL and literacy classes. A single point of entry gives our clients and their families access to a wide range of services to address multiple needs.
