You can help Little Free Library fulfill its vision of a book for every reader by coordinating a local book drive. This book drive will support a Little Free Library in Okatie, SC. This book-sharing box needs children's books, young adult books, and adult books. Register on our website to get started. After you register, we will send you a book drive planning guide. Little Free Library staff and the Little Free Library caretaker (the steward) can answer your questions along the way. This is a flexible volunteer role. You can coordinate your local book drive during the times that work best for you and your community. Purpose: By keeping Little Free Libraries filled with books, you are helping to build community, inspire readers, and expand book access. Responsibilities: Set up a local book drive collecting children's books, young adult books, and adult books. Collaborate with local businesses and volunteer groups to identify book drive collection locations and establish a process. Create and implement a promotional plan so that your community knows about the book drive. Evaluate all books collected to make sure that they are in good condition and meet the needs of the Little Free Library. Communicate with the Little Free Library steward to arrange book distribution. Record your Impact in the Team LFL online volunteer hub. Training & Resources Available: We will help you get to know our organization and share our tips for planning a successful book drive. Qualifications: Love Little Free Libraries and supporting book access! Have access to transportation to pick up donated books from collection locations Have some experience coordinating events/projects Organized Enjoy working with other groups & individuals Great communication skills Benefits: Experience the satisfaction of getting books into the hands of more readers. We need your help to keep great books accessible to communities 24/7. As a volunteer, you will visit this Little Free Library in Reno to distribute books once a month. This book-sharing box needs books for children K-12, nature and geography books, math & science books, or STEM books. We're looking for a volunteer who can commit to distributing books to this Little Free Library for 6 months. We can suggest free or low-cost sources of books - or, if you're a bookworm yourself, you can distribute your own. Approximately 10 books are needed each month. Register on our website to get started. If it's your first time signing up with Team LFL, you will need to create an account in our online volunteer hub. After you register, we will send tips and resources. Little Free Library staff and the Little Free Library caretaker (the steward) can answer your questions along the way.
