Teatro Urbano~urbantheater co. was founded by a Puerto Rican-American actress and is a Chicago based theater company committed to the multicultural representation of performers in the theatrical and performance arts arenas within the international scope . TU will serve as the bridge that joins together not only the immensely diverse experiences of our cultures but nurture our most precious commodity; our youth. By aggresively pursuing works that convey, illuminate and empathize with the human condition, TU will embrace the humble origins of theater and performance art by keeping its message and work simple, straightforward and respectful of where we came from: from the streets to the stage and into the future...
