The mission of the nonprofit Dry Stone Conservancy is to revive and promote the ancient craft of dry stone masonry and to preserve existing dry stone structures.

Description

The Dry Stone Conservancy was founded in 1995 by a group of central Kentucky citizens concerned for the preservation of old stone structures. The Conservancy's primary goals are to: 1. Revive and maintain the lost craft of dry stone construction; 2. Conserve existing dry stone structures through repair and reconconstruction; and 3. Advocate for public education on the craft of dry stone construction.
