Mission Statement

C.H.A.N.C.E. (creating hope, answering needs, changing everything) is a community service club at Green Valley High School that is dedicated to helping others in three ways: 1) Fundraising for Charitable or Nonprofit Organizations, 2) Volunteering, and 3) Having Fun. The purpose of C.H.A.N.C.E. is to encourage volunteering by organizing group volunteer events, to teach students about the many nonprofit/charity organizations out there, and to inform students about all the different ways they can help their community.

Description

C.H.A.N.C.E. is a community service club that is always looking for opportunities to make a difference. All proceeds raised by this club are donated back to charity.For the 2010-2011 school year, C.H.A.N.C.E. supported two international organizations: Unicef and The Hands and Feet Project, and two national organizations: The National Parkinsons Foundation and American Cancer Society. Last year, the group supported one international and one national nonprofit organization: Water.org and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The purpose of C.H.A.N.C.E. is to encourage volunteering by organizing group volunteer events, to teach students about the many nonprofit/charity organizations out there, and to inform students about all the different ways they can help their community.
