Mission Statement

The all-volunteer Long Island Community Boathouse provides western Queens residents, employees and visitors with educational and recreational paddling programs. Our programs raise awareness about estuary ecology with the goal of restoring the natural beauty and health of New York Harbor for today’s and future generations.

Description

The LIC Community Boathouse offers free public paddle trips on the East River to participants over 18. The boathouse also offers free kayaking events in embayment areas allowing minors to participate when accompanied by parents or guardians. Please check the boathouse calendar for scheduling.
