Mission Statement

The Children's Partnership unites resources so children with complex needs can live successfully with their families in the community.

Description

The Children's Partnership provides services for children in Travis County who have complex mental health needs and provides supports for their families by creating a collaborative system of care comprised of community partners. Families are guided in their access of the systems of care by a service plan unique to each child and youth, which is based upon family needs and preferences and has an ultimate goal of preventing out-of-home placement. The Children's Partnership's community partners include three school districts, the mental health authority, the child welfare system, Health and Human Services, and the juvenile justice system. Based on longstanding relationships bolstered by formal written agreements, the collaborative approach maximizes resources, prevents duplication of efforts, and provides a continuum of care for children and youth involved with multiple systems. In this way, the Children's Partnership is able to cost-effectively provide children with the treatment and services they need while also providing their families with the support necessary to sustain success after they have graduated from The Children's Partnership.
