Mission Statement

Peacemaker Resources builds safe and healthy communities based on respectful communication, empathy, and effective conflict resolution.

Description

Peacemaker Resources provides opportunities for individuals to learn knowledge and skills that will help them to develop and maintain healthy relationships, communicate effectively, and constructively resolve conflicts.

We do through the following:

The Cooperative Life Skills Programming -

Individuals trained in cooperative life skills partner with elementary and middle schools to provide regular classes to students on topics such as communicating during conflicts, respectful listening, perspective, self-esteem, and bullying.

Students Teaching Attitudes of Respect (S.T.A.R.)-

Teams of 6th graders from middle schools around Northern Minnesota are selected to be members of STAR teams. These students attend retreats at Concordia Language Villages where they learn communication, conflict resolution, and presentation skills. They then go out and teach these skills to kids and adults in their communities.

Adult Education -

Peacemaker resources provides workshops and trainings to individuals, organizations, businesses and schools on topics such as positive parenting, empowering communication, bullying prevention, and social emotional learning.
