I enjoyed volunteering here so much! The people are so friendly and appreciative. I mostly helped out with preparing for their annual auction, which was a lot of clerical work. Except for the night of the auction when people are needed for a variety of different tasks. This organization is very small and everyone that works there seems to go above and beyond what was asked of them. While I was mostly in the office, I was satisfied with my experience because I knew that by completing the small time consuming tasks that I was qualified to do. The people that worked there had more time to dedicate to important complex tasks that required certification that I lacked. This led to better auctions that raised more money that would benefit the residents. Though I wasn't directly helping the residents, I had an impact on their lives.
