Mission Statement

Equal Rights Washington (ERW), is a new statewide political advocacy organization for the LGBT community of Washington State with the primary mission of ending discrimination of gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans-gendered persons in every corner of the state.

Description

Our unified efforts are comprised of three separate organizations . The central organization is known simply as "Equal Rights Washington," and is a 501[c]4 organization that does advocacy-related work. ERW also has two sister organizations, - a 501(c)3 [known as the ERW Education Fund], and a political action committee (PAC). Equal Rights Washington is focusing on the following work: - Voter registration and outreach - Research and education of LGBT public policy issues - Lobby public officials on legislation affecting LGBT people - Electing pro-LGBT political leaders.
