Mission Statement

Harvest Hands exists to be a catalyst for Christ-centered wholistic community development working alongside our neighbors to further healthy living, education, spiritual formation and economic development in South Nashville.

Description

Harvest Hands is a community development organization focusing on the neighborhoods in South Nashville of Vine Hill, Wedgewood Houston and Chestnut Hill. We have after-school programs for K-12th grade students, summer programs and sports leagues. We also have a mentoring program for our youth that we partner with two micro-businesses that we started of roasting coffee, Humphreys Street Coffee Co, and making handmade soap, WOW! Soap. These businesses provide jobs and business training for the youth in our neighborhood. We also host community events and weekly neighborhood lunches. We also are beginning affordable housing work in our community. Our vision is, "Neighbors working together to harvest our fullest potential and cultivate a thriving community that reflects the Kingdom of God."
