The mission of the Marion County Public Health Department Medical Reserve Corps is to coordinate and maintain a well-trained group of medical and non-medical volunteers to make our community safer, stronger and better prepared to respond to public health emergencies and events.

Description

The Marion County Public Health Department (MCPHD) Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is one of 27 Medical Reserve Corps units in Indiana - and one of 990 across America - that is actively recruiting and training volunteers in case of emergencies. There are over 206,000 MRC members in all 50 states -- plus Washington DC, Guam, Palau, and the U.S. Virgin Islands -- serving in areas as diverse as Anchorage, Alaska and New York City. The number of MRCs continues to grow and thrive, offering a wide range of services.
