Mission Statement

ArtsPower's mission is to provide young people with the opportunity to experience the transporting power of outstanding theatre that fosters sound moral development, ignites the desire to read, and advances their development as productive members of society.

Description

ArtsPower ranks among America's largest and most respected producers of professional touring theatre, providing children in grades K through 9 with original musicals, plays, and educational Study Buddy guides based on award-winning literary classics and historical events. Our repertoire includes adaptations of such well-regarded books as Marcus Pfisters' "The Rainbow Fish," Judy Blume's "Otherwise Known As Sheila the Great," Lucy Maud Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables," and "My Heart in a Suitcase," based on the memoir of Anne L. Fox, who escaped Nazi Germany in 1939 via the Kindertransport. Our newest productions are musical adaptations of Ludwig Bemelmans' classic "Madeline and the Bad Hat," Patricia Reilly Giff's "Fish Face," and a dramatic adaptation of Lois Lowry's "The Silent Boy."
