Mission Statement

Chamberlain’s Children Center empowers at-risk children in a home-like environment to heal from past trauma, discover their strengths and develop the skills they need to achieve life-long success.

Description

Chamberlain’s is a Level 12 therapeutic foster care group home for children ages 6-17 years. The children live in one of four cottages that provides 24/7 supervision and care by professionally trained staff. Through Chamberlain’s, they received group and individual therapy and we ensure that each child’s health needs are met including medical, dental and vision. Their psychiatric needs are met by Chamberlain’s consulting psychiatrist who assesses their needs on a regular basis and prescribes medications, if necessary. For residents with an IEP that specifies, they may attend Chamberlain’s non-public school on grounds, the Keith Thompson School.

Individual group sessions are scheduled and held to address specific concerns, such as anger management. Otherwise, residents can be referred to additional group services not offered at Chamberlain’s for issues such as substance abuse, etc. We are able to supervise visits between our residents and their family members when court stipulates that their visits must be supervised. Chamberlain's may provide transportation for its residents to out of town visits when there is sufficient qualified staff on hand to transport.
