Would you like to volunteer to translate business blogs from English to Spanish? EGBI is a nonprofit that provides training, coaching, and support to aspiring and existing business owners who face barriers to growing a successful business in Central Texas. All the services and resources we provide are in both English and Spanish. We have a wealth of information we have added to our website's blogs so that the clients we serve have easy access to the information, but we want to make sure this information is being translated into Spanish. EGBI provides training, coaching, and support to aspiring and existing business owners who face barriers to growing a successful business in the Austin area. It is incredibly important that we tell the story of the business owners we serve and images are the best way to get the attention of supporters for our organization and clients. These images may be sent to community partners, stakeholders, the press, or used in our own marketing materials. In this volunteer opportunity, the volunteer photographer will meet with a business owner at their location in Austin and/or surrounding areas, to take pictures that will capture their story, plus their product and services. Volunteers must adhere to social distancing guidelines and mask wearing is a must.

As part of our Building Sucess Program, we like to have professionals teach the sessions on subjects that they are experts. In our upcoming semester we have one day and one night class dedicated to Small Business Insurance. We provide all of curriculum information: handouts for the students, and a powerpoint presentation that we can send to you prior to coming in. We would love to have you contribute your expertise and help guide our students through this section of the curriculum.

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help us communicate to immigrant clients so we can best serve them. Aspiring and existing business owners that speak limited English with French as primary language face language barriers to conducting business in Central Texas. By volunteering as a French interpreter, you can help bridge the communication gap and empower these entrepreneurs to thrive in our local area. If you are interested in this opportunity, we want to meet you. We will ask about your availability and when we need your assistance, schedule a time to meet again accordingly.

Economic Growth Business Incubator (EGBI) is a non-profit organization that equips underrepresented individuals in the greater Austin Area with the educational toolset to establish their own businesses.
EGBI has a unique approach to entrepreneurial incubation - all-inclusive training, pre-launch education, post-launch support, and Spanish support. We strive to be a one-stop shop for your emerging or growing enterprise.
