We are currently seeking ongoing volunteers to staff our front desk. Duties include: Answering the phone and redirecting calls Taking down information and passing along to the appropriate staff member Greeting participants and guests as they come in the door Tidying and maintaining the front lobby room Various administrative tasks as needed The shift we are seeking to fill are: Mondays: 1pm - 5pm Thursdays: 1pm - 5pm If you have previous front desk or administrative experience, please consider applying for this position. Our bilingual (English/Spanish) services are crucial because, while cancer patients typically receive state-of-the-art medical treatment, effective cancer care also requires the integration of psychological and social services (like what CSCAZ provides) to identify and address issues associated with a cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Every day, CSCAZ offers professionally led support groups, educational workshops, and mind/body wellness programs so that people - STATEWIDE - affected by cancer can learn vital skills to regain control, reduce feelings of isolation, and restore hope.

Cancer Support Community Northern Arizona is seeking volunteers to engage in a variety of opportunities to support people impacted by cancer. Located at 914 N. San Francisco Street in Flagstaff, directly south of Flagstaff Medical Center, there are many roles volunteers hold including: Front desk and phone receptionist to greet participants, intake new participants, answer questions, provide resources (available in 2-5 hour shifts one time or twice a week) Forest Bathing leaders (Wednesday or Thursday at noon for one-hour, leading participants on healing walks through the natural beauty of Flagstaff) Leading knitting group that meets on Thursdays 10:30 am - noon Lead a monthly book club Hosting and facilitation of informal support dinners Tabling at the Saturday Community Market events in Flagstaff (April - September) Tabling at the Sunday Community Market events in Flagstaff (May - September) Tabling in other northern Arizona community events like Tribal Fairs or Health Fairs (summer months) Applications are available at https://cscaz.org/volunteer or by stopping in the Flagstaff CSCAZ location at 914 N. Our services are crucial because, while cancer patients typically receive state-of-the-art medical treatment, effective cancer care also requires the integration of psychological and social services (like what CSCAZ provides) to identify and address issues associated with a cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Every day, CSCAZ offers professionally led support groups, educational workshops, and mind/body wellness programs so that people - STATEWIDE - affected by cancer can learn vital skills to regain control, reduce feelings of isolation, and restore hope. We are seeking experienced volunteer class Facilitators who can provide in-kind programs at our main Palm Lane Campus to help launch our new Movement 360 Program. Ideal candidates will be experienced professionals with a focus on one or more of the following (or related) areas of expertise: Zumba Yoga Dance Strength and Balance Movement Required: Experience facilitating classes or groups in the areas of exercise/movement. Knowledge of the unique needs of those with chronic illnesses is highly desired. Evidence of expertise in the subject matter (e.g. degree, years of experience, credentialling and/or licensure) Strong communication and interpersonal skills This is a volunteer position in which the facilitator will provide one or more monthly classes in-kind, in-person at our Central Phoenix/Palm Lane location on Tuesdays at 12:30 pm or Thursday Evenings at 630 pm.
