About Us: The United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF) is on a mission to promote research, education, and support for individuals affected by mitochondrial disorders. We are looking for fraternities, sororities, high school students, or anyone in the Charlotte area who want volunteer hours to assist us with day-of event setup/tear-down, planning, and logistics for our Energy for Life Walkathon. Whether you're fulfilling community service hours or just want to contribute to a great cause, we need passionate and dedicated volunteers like YOU to help make this event a success! Roles & Responsibilities: Event Setup & Teardown: Assist with setting up and tearing down the event on the day of the walkathon. Logistics Support: Help organize registration tables and participant areas. Community Outreach: Help spread the word about the event by reaching out to local businesses and community organizations. General Assistance: Provide support to participants, volunteers, and other attendees throughout the event. Team Collaboration: Work alongside other volunteers and committee members to ensure smooth event operations. Who Should Volunteer? Fraternities and sororities looking to fulfill community service hours High school students in need of volunteer hours Anyone with a passion for helping others and making a positive impact Skills & Qualifications: A passion for supporting a meaningful cause No prior experience needed! However, any background in event planning, marketing, or community outreach is a bonus. Team player with good communication skills Creative and enthusiastic!
