"I Can Do That! engages children and youth of all abilities in community arts programming for education, expression and connection."

Description

I CAN DO THAT! is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation providing high-quality Arts education opportunities through teaching-artist residencies to children of all abilities in Sacramento. I CAN DO THAT! brings the Arts to 3,000 Pre-K through 12th grade students--70% of whom have mental, emotional, developmental, or physical disabilities and 71.4% of whom belong to the low- to moderate-income population--at 60 school sites annually.

As a man with an disability myself I feel that I have a lot to offer. I can relate these kids. Nothing will me happier than to know that I made a diffrence in their lives.

This was an enjoyable volunteer experience. Teaching children alternative art techniques such as string art was fun! Too bad VSA only has opportunities once a year; otherwise, this is a great organization to volunteer for.
