The Cedar Grove Institute for Sustainable Communities strives to: * Help citizens create more livable and sustainable communities through applied multi-disciplinary research, analysis, technical assistance and public education; * Develop indicators regarding efforts to achieve an equitable quality of life for all groups; * Develop tools that community groups can use in their efforts to promote equitable community development; * Assist communities in building diverse, prosperous, and self-reliant economies that provide good jobs for all, while at the same time encouraging preservation of a region's significant natural resources and its character, history, healthcare and culture. In this effort, we engage community leaders and seek partnerships with community groups and others active in civic engagement in order to pursue opportunities for maximum timely impact.
