Mission Statement
In alignment with North Carolina Central University's strategic plan, the Academic Community Service Learning Program strives to enhance and make efficient use of emerging technologies, utilizing 'best practice' in data management and web/database development. With the increasing role we play in the communities we serve, innovation is key towards having lasting impact and keeping pace with increasing demands. In order for ACSLP to increase its capacity levels as it relates to technology, experts and key members are needed to offer advice, expose needed resources, distribute relevant information, and offer creative solutions, effectively keeping ACSLP, NCCU, and the Community actively closing the digital divide gap.
Description
Opportunities abound with technology. Interested volunteers will be actively engaged in a project that will have immediate impact in the Durham and surrounding area of the Triangle. Diverse backgrounds in technology, database design/programming, project management, web development, graphic design are wanted and welcome, but also anyone interested in helping and learning any of those previously mentioned areas. Times of service are flexible.
