Mission Statement

To Provide options, training and rehabilitation for homeless mixed-bree dogs until they find a permanent home. Description

Our foundation was named for Misha, a beautiful, spunky 10 month old Black Lab mix! Misha was on her to the pound when our founder, Lorraine May rescued her from an uncertain fate. Misha became Lorraine's inspiration, constant companion and the joy of her life for over 15 years! Who knows what would have happened to Misha had she completed the trip to the shelter. But even in the best shelters, with the best care there are still some dogs who, while waiting for a home, cannot withstand the stress, fear, loneliness and loss. It is these dogs who may make the best pets and sadly it is also these dogs that become less and less attractive to potential human companions as they appear increasingly needy or anxious, depressed or disinterested. It is our mission to save these dogs, rehabilitate them and place them in loving forever homes.
