Mission Statement

The mission of the NACHC-NY Community HealthCorps VISTA program is to provide culturally appropriate preventative and primary health care to medically underserved populations and communities throughout New York State.

Description

VISTA members develop programs to meet the physical, mental and social health needs of underserved populations within New York State. This includes outreach and educational efforts to break down barriers to care. VISTA members are involved in designing and implementing programs to increase access and reduce health disparities.
