Volunteers are wanted as supportive members of the Surgical Short Procedure team to assist the staff in a variety of non-clinical tasks to include delivery and pick-up of supplies from other departments, stocking supplies, helping families, etc. A willingness to help, being compassionate, and having flexibiltiy will ensure a rewarding volunteer exerience within a dynamic department.

Calm and compassionate volunteers provide support to the Emergency Room staff in a variety of non-clinical tasks. Some tasks include delivery and pick-up of supplies from other departments, stocking supplies, assisting patients in wheelchairs, visiting in the waiting room, etc. A willingness to help and be flexble will ensure a rewarding volunteer experience.

Congenial volunteers wanted to safely transport patients and visitors in a golf cart between hospital parking lots and hospital entrance. PA Driver's license required and must be aged 21 or over. The GVH Children's Center cares for children from infants 6 weeks old through kindergarten. They also have a summer camp for children entering kindergarten through the completion of third grade. Volunteers assist in a variety of ways intereacting with the children by cuddling, feeding, diapering, reading, playing, assisting with activities, and helping with clerical tasks if needed.

Volunteers wanted who enjoy interacting with people in a congenial environment, working with a team to sort, price, display, sell, and maintain overall appearance of the Recovery Room Thrift Shop. Training is provided. The Recovery Room Thrift Shop is currently open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
