To train minority populatiosn in the area of Clinical Research, Pharmceutical Science and Nursing. To work with Faith-Based Organizations and Churches in helping to educate and empower their congregation and their community regarding the benefit and value of medical research. To bring medical research dollars from private industry and govermental agencies into these communties most effected by health disparity To create scholarships for minority populations that encourage the pursuit of Doctoral educational level in medical resrach. To create a minority registry of individuals who have need for care in in chronic disease areas such as: diabetes, hypertension, cancer and HIV. To create guidelines and policies that ensure human subject protection in clinical research To create standards and SOP's for individaulas and organizations that are conducting clinical research To change and alter behaviors that improve health outcomes in the treating of chronic diseases To assist in the writing of community based grants for the funding of Health Programs in Churches and communties that service minority populations. Educate and increase the involvement of minority serving physicians and health professionals as to the value and need for involvement in research. To develop recuitment stategies that are ethnically and culturally sensitive and appropriate to specific populations in encouraging quality research participation and practices for the benefit of the public at large. Develop and further Evidence Based Practices in Clinical Research, Nursing and Pharmacy. To get Inner City Youth involved in careers in research as a solution to gang and drug violence. Development of Youth Training and Employment Careers in Science Programs to solve Inner City crime and violence Areas of penetration being Pharmaceutical, Bio-Medical and Nursing Communties.
