everyone was friendly and I had fun. It didn't even feel like I was there to put in work.

It's a lot of hard work, but it is work that needs to be done. After volunteering, you feel like you accomplished a lot, but there is still a lot of trash left. If you care about the Earth or want someone to, this is a good way to demonstrate the horrors of pollution. It was a great experience. If you are wondering about proof of volunteer hours, they email it you. Everyone should participate in a cleanup event because you can learn a lot from this opportunity.
