The American Cancer Society it a nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives from cancer, through research, education advocacy, and service.

Description

The Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature event. Teams of 8 - 12 raise money for the American Cancer Society leading up to the Relay, which takes place on June 3 - 4, 2005 from 6:00 PM - 2:00 PM. At the actual event, team members take turns walking or running around the track to for the 20 hrs. Cancer survivors, caregivers, and their family members kickoff the event with the survivors lap.
