The mission of Annapolis Opera is to present artistically excellent professional opera productions, educational programs and other opera-related events, featuring emerging artists.

Description

Annapolis Opera was formed and organized to develop and maintain a professional opera company of artistic excellence for the Washington D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas. Founded in 1972, Annapolis Opera strives to bring opera to the community in a way that all citizens can afford to enjoy as a live art form.

An important part of our mission is to educate potential audiences so that opera can be better understood and appreciated. To that end, Annapolis Opera supports a variety of education programs that serve people of all ages, from school children to senior citizens.
