Description

Jumpstart at GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY is an AmeriCorps program that recruits caring young adults to work with 3-5 year old children. Jumpstart corps members serve in the classroom and community by engaging in activities that support young children’s language and literacy development. Those who serve in Jumpstart can receive an educational award to pay for college expenses and qualified student loans. For those eligible, college students can potentially earn Work-Study funds in addition to the AmeriCorps education award in the process. Jumpstart Corps members work 8-12 hours a week with small groups of children in local early childhood centers. Corps members can gain valuable skills and experience, earn Federal Work-Study , and make a difference in the life of a child! ALL MAJORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY!!
