Mission Statement
The Mission of Woodland Hospice is to provide high quality, dignified, and compassionate end of life care to people with a terminal illness: to promotethe long-term emotional, spiritual, and physical well beings of caregivers and survivors: to provide expertise in palliative, supportive, and bereavement care to professionals as well as the community at large.
Description
Caring for people with an incurable illness in the warmth and comfort of their own home is the heart of our care and philosophy. Services are available to the patient, caregiver, and family. Woodland Hospice also contracts with several local nursing homes and Adult Foster Care Homes and can provide complete hospice services in any setting.
Caregivers may need a break at times to attend to other areas in their lives. Woodland Hospice offers highly trained volunteers for short term respite care as well as a variety of other supportive services. In the case of longer term respite needs, a five day respite stay at Hospice House is available.
