Mission Statement

OUR MISSION

Journey 4-H Youth Mentoring matches caring, committed adult volunteres wtih court involved youth in the Ottawa County area. Through the mentoring relationship, we aim to provide the youth with a positive role model and a link to the community. All youth are in our program voluntarily; they ask for a mentor and are fully engaged in building this new relationship.

Our goal is to reduce the frequency and severity of repeat offences committed by the youth in our program. We serve all of Ottawa County, from Spring Lake to Jenison to Holland.

What's New?

Not sure what to do on your outing with your youth? the Outdoor Challenge is the perfect Opportunity for matches to get to know each other and experience the great outdoors in a fun, interactive setting. Matches learn new skills while participating in kayaking, biking, climbing, hiking and so much more! Structured activities make it easy to plan weekly visits with your youth. And it is FUN!
