Mission Statement
The mission of the Sarah Parvin Foundation is to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families in the spirit that Sarah lived. We strive to empower children of all ages to use their innate strength and courage to make their own unique impact. It is our passion to provide families with support and encouragement throughout their journey.
Description
Our foundation was started to honor the memory of an amazing young girl whose life was far too short, but not without purpose. Sarah Alexandra Parvin was 12 years and 24 days old when she lost her courageous battle with Small Cell Ovarian Cancer. Her strength, courage, and spirit is what drives the mission of this foundation.
It is the mission of the Foundation to continue the spirit that Sarah exemplified. She showed us what courage was, by the way she faced her illness and ultimately her death. She showed us what strength meant, to face every battle with a smile. The faith that she displayed, not just in God but her family and friends, in people in general was far beyond her young years. So we take those values, and we continue her legacy. We fight back in a positive way against the disease that took her from us. We fight cancer on all levels, by helping those who are affected by cancer, and by supporting those who are searching for a cure.
We encourage children, children of all ages to become involved, to stand up and make a difference. We truly believe that together we can make a difference. No matter how large or how small..
