Animals are the first and foremost priority of Second Chance Pet Adoptions. This non-profit 501(c)(3) organization is dedicated to the memory of all animals who were caged, hunted, beaten, tortured, starved, chained, exploited, or simply ignored. We love them all, but sadly, they never knew it.We are a No-Kill animal rescue. Our aims and objectives are to educate the public as to the needs of their pets, and to provide information on the proper care and treatment of existing animal cruelty laws, and will inform the public of possible abuses to their pets. We exist to make humane decisions for thewelfare of the animals under our protection and to ensure that they are taken care of in the best way possible. We provide a service to the community by clearing the streets of potentially dangerous and unhealthy conditions and by providing an adoption service designed to benefit both the animal and the adoptingparty. We seek homes for unwanted, abandoned or stray animals through the process of adoption, whichincludes a veterinary health check for the animal and screening of the prospective owner, to helpensure that the pet and its new owner will be compatible. If for any reason they are not compatible, we take back the pet, who will again be offered for adoption.
Second Chance Pet Adoptions is a non-profit 501 C charitable organization that was formed to promote humane treatment and quality of life for all animals, rescue animals in need, reduce pet overpopulation and provide pet adoption services. We aim to prevent cruelty to animals through educational programs. We feel it is important to educate prospective owners and the general public about pet overpopulation and enforce a very strict spay/neuter policy for all our adopted pets. We do not yet have our own kennel facility, so all of the animals we take in live in "foster homes" or with their owners until they are adopted. Second Chance Pet Adoptions has no paid employees and does not receive funding from any government agency. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and obtain funds solely from adoption fees, fund-raisers, and donations. All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. We can alway use toys, food, litter, beds, carriers, and of course money! Donations are only used for the direct care and maintenance of the animals.
