Mission Statement

The South Texas Health System Volunteer Program is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. These purposes shall include: * To collaborate with South Texas Health System, through volunteer resources, to provide assistance to departments in their functions and delivery of patient care. * To fund health care and continuing education scholarships with revenue generated by the association. * To interact with other not for profit charitable and educational agencies in the community as the Board of Directors shall from time to time determine.

Description

The South Texas Health System Volunteer Program has over 325 student and adult volunteering to provide the very best in patient care and customer service to the patients and their families at McAllen Medical Center, McAllen Heart Hospital, Edinburg Regional Medical Center and Edinburg Children's Hospital.
