Mission Statement

The mission of Renville County Back-the-Pack Programis to provide relief and close the missing meal gaps between available food assistance programs and the unmet needs of low-income residents of the BOLD/RCW School Districts. By building networks and opening communications, we can utilize and maximize our local food resources to make up for missing meals, in turn improving the health and self reliance of our residents. We advocate for sustainable solutions to hunger, demonstrate the public value of an end to hunger, and strive to eliminate the stigma and apathy connected to hunger. To accomplish this, Renville County Back-the-Pack Program is developing strategies that bring together individuals and organizations to:

  • Advocate for public policy to end hunger
  • Expand community awareness of hunger
