Description

Boston Collegiate Charter School (BCCS), founded as South Boston Harbor Academy Charter School (SBHA), was established in 1998 and is a college preparatory middle and high school serving 360 students in grades 5-12 from all 13 of Boston's neighborhoods. The school offers an academically rigorous, college preparatory curriculum based on three pillars: great teachers, a structured academic environment, and high expectations combined with a tremendous amount of support. Since its opening, BCCS has earned some of the top MCAS scores in the city of Boston. For the past two years, 100% of BCCS 10th graders have passed both the English and Math MCAS exams, a statewide public school graduation requirement. BCCS is the only non-entrance exam school in Boston to have 100% of its 10th graders pass both exams two years running.
