Mission Statement
The Mission of the organization is to "address current health issues and concerns of the African-American citizens of Detroit, to Provide compassionate and nonjudgemental services through culturally appropriate and ethnically sensitive programs, and to develop effective ways of promoting and implementing poositive health strategies to influence the overall quality of life of the African-American Community."
Description
We are the largest Minority HIV/AIDS service organization in the state of Michigan. We have prevention & care programs for people infected and affected by HIV. We offer free HIV testing and counseling, do mobile outreach, needle exchange (for injecting drug users), host support groups, & provide transportation for medical appointments. Case management and counseling services are also available for people living with HIV.
