Mission Statement

The GreenHouse Foundation was founded to educate, inspire and influence school aged children in disadvantaged areas to become responsible stewards of their environment, communities and future.

Description

The GreenHouse Foundation serves schools and students from Elementary to High School in disadvantaged areas. Schools eligible for participation in our GreenHouse School Partnership include Private, Public and Charter schools with populations from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

The GreenHouse Foundation is focused on educating children to understand the importance of adopting "green living" practices so they can protect and preserve their environment, communities and future.

As the world becomes increasingly concerned with the environmental impact of our actions, children need and want to know where they fit in. They want to understand how negative actions can create long term damage and they want to understand how they can make small changes to impact the future of their environment and lives. We believe that when children embrace a "Green begins with me" attitude they will also adopt a "Green begins at home" philosophy. This philosophy, shared with family, friends and community, will proactively create a culture of environmental responsibility.
